It also has a \"living edge\", where the inside of the birch against the epoxy is from the outside of the tree trunk, so you get a nice flow through with a nice edge in\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003ethe wood against the epoxy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e The wooden board is molded with an epoxy inlay, which is liquid plastic, when it dries it becomes hard plastic and food safe. The epoxy on this board is blue with some shine in it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e The tray is treated with Finishing oil which is food safe, so the tray can be safely used to serve food on.
