When the brotherhood travels through Eregion, they must take cover to hide from Sarumann's spies, the crebain, crows from Dunland. Sarumann used these as spies when he went over to Sauron's side in the War of the Ring.
This diorama shows the fellowship on a journey. You also see the crows scouting for the ring bearer.
